Red History Museum, Dubrovnik, Croatia

The Red History Museum takes you through the political history of Yugoslavia, but also shows you how the people lived at that time.

The museum is very text heavy, the information is provided both in Croatian and in English. Some parts of the museum will not have as much interest to those with concentration issues or dyslexia, unfortunately. Z struggled with standing and reading the many texts and eventually had to give up on reading everything due to the pain of standing still.

There are lots of physical things to see in the 'at home' part of the museum, but you may miss out on a lot if you don't take the time to read the accompanying texts.

The museum is small, but the space is put to good use. Unfortunately some parts of the museum were extremely hot and we had to skip over more then we would have liked due to the temperatures.
It was interesting to learn where Communism in Yugoslavia diverted from the Russian version and tried to find their own way to utopia.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ the experience was educating and totally worth our time and money. In the future one could hope that the museum will to make their information available as an audio tour.
