Republic Burger House, Dubrovnik, Croatia

On a friday evening around 20.00 there were plenty of seats in the small establishment. It was recommended by our tour guide, Alex. She recommend the calamari burger.

H 🍽️ Smokehouse burger with french fries (beef, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayonnaise) ✔️ The fries were fresh and crisp as H prefers them.
Z 🍽️ Deer burger with french fries (deer, truffle sauce on the side, gouda cheese, mushrooms, arugula, tomato, plum jam) 〰️ The deer did not overpower the overall taste experience, it kind off drowned in everything else. Z loves mushrooms in a burger and these were just right, pairing them with the gouda was a good choice. We were skeptical of the plum jam, but it was well worth having with the meat. We do prefer regular mayo to the truffle sauce. For Fries see H. The burger with the fries were too much food for Z. We brought home half a burger in case Z got hungry again.

Our meal was accompanied by water, still and sparkling respectfully. How ever this place serves their Coca Cola by the 0.5 l - not 0.25 l as other restaurants.

The service good.
