This is - according to Pinterest and Google - the best cevapi in town.
H has childhood memories tied to the dish and we tasted it twice when we drove through Croatia last year on out way from Denmark to Split, Croatia. Therefore this restaurant was on out bucket list for Dubrovnik. We managed to get a table without ordering ahead.
We picked one dish each, but shared food across the table.

H 🍽️ ´Cevapi in flatbread with kajmak and onion ✔️ Incredible bread with amazing meat. The simplicity of the dish (Literally just meat in bread with some added items on the side) really means that there is nowhere to hide shortcomings, anything that would be off would instantly be recognised and there was nothing of the sort. Indeed, the bread which they make themselves was perfectly soft on the inside and grilled on the outside, while the meat were perfectly seasoned and cooked, still retaining quite a bit of moisture that leaked into the bread and got soaked up. The kajmak and onion on the side weren't even needed, but was very much a positive addition to this dish.
Z 🍽️ Lamb Shank with mash (and salted lemon) + bread basket ✔️ Z is allergic to lemon and asked the waiter not to bring it. When the dish was served the waiter told us that the mash was made with green beans and was accompanied by sour cream. The lamb was tender and juicy, the mash had a great taste and pared wonderfully with the lamb, but! When lamb, mash and sour creme was combined it was heavenly.
We will definitely try to copy the green bean mash at home. A great alternative to potatoes.
With our meal we had Coca Cola and still water. Disappointed? We do not drink wine or beer, neither of us likes the taste.
The waiting staff was tentative and nice. There was a delay when Z asked for more sour creme so we ende up having to ask twice. We know this can happen, but it did interrupt the flow of our meal.

H was over the moon about his meal. Z found the delay in sour creme delivery bothersome, still the meal was a wonderful experience.
