This post marks the start of a marathon of posts. We have arrived at out vacation spot for this Summer. The next 14 days will be busy.
On the eve of our arrival in Croatia we did not need or want to venture far from the hotel. We settled on the main restaurant of the hotel.
Dinner buffet, Tuesday around 19.00.
We tried mostly new dishes and the focus will be on those, but this will never the less be a longer post.

π½️ Fried sea bass in Dalmation style (H tasted) ✔️ loved it (H was not delighted)

π½️ Beef Wellington 〰️ The sauce bowl was too small H got a feeling of emptying it every time. The presentation on the plate could be improved; when it was cut, the knife seemed too dull and broke the pastry instead of cutting it. The beef and pastry was perfekt.

π½️Mushrooms in tempura 〰️ Chewy; maybe it would be better served freshly fried.

π½️Chicken patΓ© 〰️ Did not like. It may been general for chicken patΓ©, but Z does eat other patΓ©s happily.

π½️ Cheeses 〰️ The cheeses were interesting and mostly likeable. Would have loved a more detailed sign with all the cheese names.

π½️ Chocolate cake (H tasted) 〰️ The spongecake were a bit dry, the filling was nice, but not moist enough to help the dry cake.
π½️ Vanilla pudding topped with hazelnut creme ✔️ Z could only taste a small bit of the hazelnut creme, but it was very nice, creamy and with small pieces of nuts. The pudding was as a pudding should be, perfectly smooth, but firm.
π½️ Watermelon and cantaloupe ✔️ Sweet and fresh, but see H for some critic on the watermelon texture.
H's
π½️ Cake pop #1 ✔️ H thinks it was flavoured with marzipan and liquor. A good dessert.

π½️ Glutenfree Brownie ➗ Very dry, it did not have the almost raw core
π½️ Baklava with pistachio (Z tasted) 〰️ Not to our taste, felt more like a savvy dish in the mouth then a dessert. This may be how it is suppose to taste.
π½️ Sneakers 〰️ Could taste more of Sneakers, the whipped cream was the dominant flavour still.
π½️ Watermelon 〰️ The watermelon tasted 'floury'. The terminology may be wrong, translating the Danish word failed. It is an word mostly regarding texture and mouth feel, the fruit feels grainy in the mouth and leaves the mouth feeling dry. This can happen in both watermelons and apples.
Our meal was accompanied by still and sparkling water respectively.
