The restaurant Den Hvide Hest is located in the amusement park Bakken, DK, EU. We visited on a Sunday around noon.
We were a party of 22, both children and adults.
The restaurant serves both buffet and a la carte.
We both went for the lunch buffet. It was a classic Danish lunch.
Here is a run through of our meal:

All except the cheese and cake was eaten on buttered bread either ‘on white’ or ‘on rye’

🍽️Breaded fish fillet with remoulade on rye ✔️
🍽️Frikadelle (Danish meatball) on rye ✔️

🍽️Chicken salad on rye 〰️ too big pieces of mushroom and too much onion taste.
🍽️Eggs and shrimps on white 〰️ eggs and shrimp were served with chives all over, they could not be avoided. Lemons were also part of the arrangement, which Z is allergic to, the lemons seemed to be kept at the edges. The presentation was possible pretty when it first set out, but it lost the impact fast. We recommend not serving these foods mixed on one dish.
🍽️Warm leverpostej (liver pâté), mushrooms, and bacon on rye ✔️
🍽️Warm roasted pork with crackling rind and pickled red cabbage on rye 〰️ the pork was perfect. The cabbage was not drained enough, the liquid ran around the plate contaminating the other foods. H could smell and taste the cinnamon on the cabbage, which he dislikes.

🍽️Cake with berries (type of cake not specified) 〰️ the cake was sweet and spongy, but we could not taste any fruit. It may have been apple (it was on the a la carte menu).
The buffet:
➗ There was no mayonnaise at the buffet.
➗ There were no signs at the buffet. As Danes we did know what things were, but with the cake we had no idea. A foreigner could have problems here.
〰️ The layout of the buffet was too tightly packed. It made the process slow as one person will stay long in one spot to get all the food and condiments within those 25 cm. Access from both side could also help flow.
Since the experience was about seeing family, we didn’t not ask the others about their food experience directly. It seemed that those who ordered off the menu got their food at the same time. We did hear that one of the others found the lettuces to be crunchy as if they still had sand on them.
The service was polite and attentive. They clear our dirty buffet plate while we were away. Everything was nice and clean. Z did think that they waited too long to go around inquiring about more drinks.
⭐️⭐️ (⭐️) Our overall experience was good for the area, we have certainly tried worse. Compared to what we would have expect outside an amusement park, it would only be two stars.
